This study explores the bidirectional relationship between financial management and e-government, emphasizing their synergistic impact on public governance. Using a meta-synthesis approach, it synthesizes findings from diverse qualitative and quantitative studies to identify key dimensions and indicators of this relationship, proposing an integrated conceptual model. The results reveal that financial management and e-government interact through interconnected criteria, including financial transparency, institutional accountability, efficiency benefits, financial technology (FinTech), financial capacity, and IT infrastructure. Effective financial management, through strategic resource allocation and enhanced digital infrastructure, improves e-government performance by fostering transparency and accountability. Conversely, e-government enhances financial management by increasing transparency, reducing corruption, and streamlining financial processes via digital platforms. However, challenges such as resource scarcity, technological infrastructure deficits, cultural resistance, and economic instability hinder the full realization of this potential. For practitioners, recommendations include targeted resource allocation, development of financial dashboards, and integration of technologies like blockchain. For academics, comparative studies, exploration of emerging technologies, and analysis of cultural barriers are suggested. This study provides a comprehensive framework to guide policy-making and future research, contributing to enhanced public governance through the interplay of financial management and e-government.
