The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of employees' teleworking on organizational commitment and their decision making power. The research method applied in terms of purpose is descriptive-survey and cross-sectional in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of the study included all employees of General Department of Education in South Khorasan in Birjand city (including 145 people) of whom 109 people were selected through the Morgan table as a sample. Data collection tools are Standard Organizational Telecommunication Questionnaire, Standard Organizational Commitment Questionnaire, and Standard Decision making Questionnaire, which were used after ensuring content validity and reliability. SPSS and SmartPLS 3 software were used to achieve results. The results of hypothesis testing showed that teleworking has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and its effect on decision making power is insignificant. Also, the effect of organizational commitment on decision making power was positive and significant. The results of the Sobel test also indicate that organizational commitment plays a mediating role between teleworking and decision making power. In addition, the effect of all components of teleworking on organizational commitment are significant and positive, and this effect on decision making power was significant only for the trust component.
